2025 -2026 Beekeeping Classes
Isabee's beekeeping classes are tailored for beginning beekeepers or beekeepers with 1-5 years of experience. We're offering this instruction in a series of 2-hour zoom classes specific to the bi-state area seasonal bee activities.

Three Session - (November 10th, November 18th, April TBD)

•What's involved in getting set-up?
•Site planning, necessary equipment & required management time |

Session 2
|
•Basic honeybee biology and behavior
•Equipment and starter colonies options
•The beekeeping calendar for bee management tasks in Zone 6 |

| Sesson 3 |
•Live in-apiary inspection in April |
Class is live on-line via the Zoom meeting app. A recording of class will be available to all registered participants, after each class - for a limited time.

2025 Intermediate Beekeeping
Four Session
6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Spring Management & Swarm Control - Helping your over-wintered colonies for proper spring build up, detecting signs of swarm preparation, swarm control, capture and post-swarm management |

Honey production - growing colonies for production, how and when to extract, equipment, processes and storage |

Parasites and pathogens including varroa & tracheal mites, small hive beetle and wax moth control; testing, identification, treatments and timing |

Overwintering - The most important colony trait - successful overwintering AND the most regionally specific management practice. How and when to prep your colonies, plus what does a "healthy colony" look like going into winter in our region |
